The family of Isaack Ibrahim was allegedly kidnapped from home in Bulla Afya Location on May 2 by people who were allegedly wearing combat police uniform and driving three land cruisers has moved to court seeking to compel the government to produce him.
Ibrahim’s brother Hussein Ibrahim Alew, claims the whereabout of his brother remain unknown and unaccounted for and there is reasonable fear that he was abducted by officers attached to Directorate of Criminal Investigations who have refused to either allow him or his family to visit him in custody.
He wants his brother released by the state even if its throug bond terms saying he was ready to support him on bond terms.
Through lawyer Danstan Omari ,the family says that they are living with anxiety and stress caused by the forces disappearance and abduction of their loved one.
” That on the event Isack Ibrahim has an absolute right to habeas corpus and to fair trial ,this he should be subjected to due process of the law other than abducting him and leaving his loves ones worrying of his whereabouts,” said Omari.
Lawyer Shadrack Wambui while addressing the media said that it is illegal and unjust for the respondents to subject the petitioner to inhuman.
The IG and DCI have been named as respondents in the case.
